#Markor is an excellent #FOSS text markup app via @fdroid for #Android. No ads, no privacy issues. Data stored locally. Just works. Great #ToDo function among others note taking stuff.

On Samsung Phones. there is a function called "Auto Blocker". If this is enabled, this blocks installing apps from unknown sources and via USB and ADB. In principle, this is a useful feature, but it also prevents the installation of updates via F-Droid. Even if F-Droid is classified as trustworthy in general and can therefore theoretically install apps and updates automatically, activating this function prevents automatic updates. If this function is deactivated, new apps and updates are installed automatically on request.

How to change or check language on @Heliboard?

The Medito app is a (unsurprisingly) meditation/mindfulness app. Sort of the free software alternative to Headspace. I haven't used it in a long time and was curious to see how it was doing, but I saw this: - it's only available on IzzyOnDroid now, I believe it used to be on F-droid at some point (edit: it wasn't) - the available release is 2 years old

been looking for more useful apps so figured I'd ask.

Preferably something that doesn't require login or registration. An online app would work too, I suppose.

Found Translate You for text translation, but it uses online services. Is there any offline app for that?

What are your favorite FOSS app finds of this year?

Requirements :

When I use my GPS app or I want to use my Bluetooth headphones I need to turn on those services, but only in those scenarios, once I'm done using them I don't want them to be always on, is there a way to automatically turn them off is they are not being used?

I have noticed recently that when I pull down to refresh and then open my notification shade, the updating repositories notification no longer shows which repository is currently being requested like it used to. I personally find this lack of information somewhat annoying. If they don't want to show which repository is currently being updated, the least they could do, at least in my opinion, would be to take the number of repositories and divide 100 by that number and get a percentage so that you could see what percent of the repositories had been updated. So it might show updating repositories 35% or something like that.

Recently downloaded the phyphox from F-Droid and thought about this while thinking about what all stuff I could do with it.

From the browser Settings -> Site Settings -> Always request desktop site (on/off)

Is there a way to trust Fdroid to run the updates semi automatically? Every time there are updates to apps I need to answer twice for each app that I am sure that I want to update it. And sometimes the update fails and I have to do it over and over tp get the updates installed.

I've enabled auto download and installation of updates in the settings, but somehow they are never downloaded and installed in the background, nor when I do "install all", they all prompt me for confirmation. Is there some setting to change to make it work?

Sorry if it sounds a dumb question but I always thought using the official playstore that comes pre-installed is the safest so everything related to F-Droid is new to me. Did anyone had apprehension on installing F-Droid when you had bare to none knowledge how it works? I like to be cautious and on the page it has a Instructions to verify the download page and it only tells how to check from Linux but not from Android, what am I missing here?
