All, new

I need content

As I scroll All I just block the communities that I don't want to see, usually German communities because I don't know their language and a lottt of porn communities I don't need to see that on Lemmy when I have google/duckduckgo

usually German communities because I don’t know their language

I don't browse All, but have you tried tweaking your language settings?

I just did a deep dive into my settings but couldn't find a language preference. I guess I can find common German words and add that to my blocked words filter. They will join Trump and Elon on the blocked list

Which front end? On the normal Lemmy-UI website it's below your avatar image setting, and above your theme choice

I use rocket to view Lemmy most of the time. I see I can block nsfw posts. Maybe I should try it on my desktop later

Subscribed/scaled: this way c/Linux doesn't drown out the rest of my subscribed.

When I'm bored and run out of stuff to see, all/active. When I'm really bored but can't be bothered to go to anything productive, all/new.

Subscribed, new.

Also local, new and scaled.

Subscribed+Scaled

ensures that I see posts from the small communities that I'm interested in

All, Top Six Hours, Scroll till I reach around 25 upvotes, do this potentially twice a day more often only ounce.

Subscribed/Scaled, mixed with occasionally keeping an eye on Local/New (as I'm on a small instance).

I never ever touch /all.

I usually use subscribed and local, but I have notifications enabled for a bunch of feeds so I get new threads from those communities.

Note: I am on Piefed which has more options here.

Subscribed, hot

I'm surprised this is not more popular.

high

I have an alt for that so I don't spiral from the worldnews communities

I have a lot of stuff blocked on here for my own health otherwise that spiral says “hello!”

Usually all by hot, new sometimes. I like seeing what the different communities have to offer. I switch to subscribed if I need a break from politics.

Boost and ALL, via Piefed

All hot or all active depending on whether or not I feel like arguing

@mudkip@lemdro.id from mbin with NEW. I don't follow enough content for anything else to be particularly necessary.

With Summit on Android > browse /all > ignore communities/instances I'm not interested in.

Subscribed, top 6 hours.
