We (first parents, second family-rest societies) have lost the skills of healthly raising children into healthy adults, thus creating far too BLANKED-Up people.
Perfect example- I been living in the same address since 11-years old, I am 53-years old,
I have walked dogs I cared for, for at least 3-decades, around our neighborhood’s same street, but not the same amount of homes, the home households have changed, for the negative towards interacting with each other. I have instead seen recording & lighting of the neighborhood’s public (streets-others’ properties & homes) spaces (no problem record only from your fence-gate line to your homes) while camera pointed out from their homes-fences/gates. From the beginning, I knew the problem was customers-Video camera-services providers have access & control & can manipulate to all that is pictured-recorded, without any regulations & now, there are websites where people freely give the pictures-videos to be posted, without any public people captured images on the pictures-videos permissions) had arguments. Especially, with our neighborhood is wealthy, not much crime (never had a crime committed on us), because most always have people home, 24/7.
That is frustrating enough, now, the AI revolution & involvement in our images travels (& for the good & bad it is a lot more easily accessible) everywhere faster. Even when the AI revolution bubble bursts, all the pirvacy voilations will continue to travel the world.

Literal slavery has existed since before humans - like viruses predate even upon tiny bacteria, and anyway humans can be fairly shitty sometimes. At least you had it good for a brief while, prior to a local downturn. Yes things could be better but they could also be a lot worse (also: brace yourself, because that "worse" is on its way...).

I experience (better than just watching & shows for just watching) the best (including the most independent) Political media shows, coming from The USA, on average for at least 3-hrs. each day.
I am Privileged person, really since birth, not just because I have lived in a wealthy enough life-community for most of my & my family’s lives.
The people of this country & this world has been sold a bill of goods, Democracy LOL, since the start & continues on. Thus, you are 100% correct that this could be worse. As it was easily to notice how it has gone really bad, when in USA & compared to after election of Carter to after 2-years compare to what we are in now!
