What are your thoughts on adding a comment threshold?

Few months ago i saw someone suggest on this comm or some other comm that piefed should have a comment threshold for votes like 10 comments can only have 20 upvotes/downvotes i made a suggestion on the codeberg https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/1330 what are your thoughts?
The poll has finished, yet no votes were cast.
We shouldn't dictate how people participate. Voting without commenting is a valid form of participation. It brings good content to the top and bad content to the bottom. If you try to regulate this somehow, people will start commenting "for the threshold" and other useless stuff just to get more voting capabilities. Participation should happen organically, not limited by a quota.
I would prefer to be able to sort by highly commented posts.
I think it's a bit besides the point and we need a more wholesome approach. I regularly see people talk a lot and vote a lot on memes. And the electronics discussions I read get 4 votes total. I don't think an approach like this makes our votes mean anything for me anyway. So I don't really care. Also in my feed I see how a minority of users does half the news posts here. Idk if it's good to restrict things like this. I mean I'd welcome if votes and posts came from more people.
For as long as I’ve been on lemmy people have been trying to hide, obfuscate or mess with votes. I just don’t get the appeal beyond “I don’t want to see when my content is unpopular” or the tenuous “it discourages discussion”. There are instances already that hide votes here and I for one am not overly interested in them or piefed becoming one. “Capping” them just feels like an extension of this. No problem with users opting to not see their own votes or communities being able to post to subs only and not to “c/all”.
