The Software Freedom Conservancy provides a non-profit home and services to Free, Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) projects.
I've been using GitLab instead of GitHub for a while now. It's a bit disheartening to see a popular FOSS project being hosted in GitHub.
I will say Codeberg Gitea etc are even better options for foss, as they have no Closed Source options
