Easy to install script for piefed?

submitted by mesamune

Looking at installing piefed on a pi 4. Is there a script I can use to get it up and running? I found the official instructions, and while I can go through it, its most likely going to take some time. Thought I would ask before I get too far along in the process.

I'm intending to set up a new instance using docker this weekend, which will be a significantly easier method once I document it and provide a docker-compose.yaml.

Will get back to you.

I've just updated the install instructions with a docker-based setup. Please see https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/src/branch/main/INSTALL.md.

It's a bit minimal especially at the end but it'll get you up and running. If you're on Matrix consider joining us at https://matrix.to/#/#piefed-community:matrix.org.

Doesn't look like it. There's a Dockerfile, or it's a case of going through INSTALL.md - there's not actually that much if you just want to see it running, and aren't yet bothered about deploying it in production.

I was just planning on making a single family instance, no more than 5 people.
